I recently added even more models to the
gallery!
Welcome to the new and greatly expanded Decopix
site. This new revision contains
over 700 images, taken during the past 35 years. The photos are organized into galleries
by subject matter. Due to the size of the galleries, they can take a minute to load but I think
you'll find it worth the wait.

New this month - More
Art Deco houses
plus other photos from my trip to Buffalo, Toronto
and Montreal this past October.

I hope you find Decopix useful and entertaining. Enjoy your visit!

Decopix on TV! My photos of John Warner Norton's
spectacular and long lost mural for the Chicago

Newly added (12/2011) - More obscure information on
Lawson clocks. See the
updated Pre & Post-War Comparison
page.

Need a great gift for an Art Deco fan?
Look no further! Art Deco expert Patrcia Bayer has produced a delightful new book, Art Deco Postcards. This new book is
special in several ways. First, it's
hard bound and nearly 300 pages.
Second, many of the subjects have been meticulously researched so you can
discover when these places were built
and what happened to them. Third, the postcards shown are a mix. Some are
quite rare but others are well within reach. And, if you are still using the mail, there is
a section of tear out cards that are printed on suitably aged paper. Highly recommended!

In October, I finally attended to some unfinished
business. 2-1/2 years ago at the Art Deco World
Congress in Montreal, I was nearly rained out. It
took awhile but I finally made it back, by way of
Buffalo, New York and Toronto. All of these cities
are rich in classic Art Deco, as opposed to the
later streamlined moderne, although they have that,
too. I've sorted the images by category, adding
them to the appropriate galleries on the
site.

At long last, I'm catching up on the decopix
blog.
